Senior Pastor – Joe McAdams
Joe P. McAdams began ministering as the Senior Pastor at Dive CC on April 1, 2016. Joe graduated from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2008 and has been in pastoral ministry since 1999. He and His wife Jodi have 5 children- Josiah, Jeremiah, Julianna, Jared and Judah.Pastor Joe drinks lots of Dr. Pepper, likes to run when the weather is warm, and enjoys reading non-fiction. Jodi drinks lots of designer coffee, enjoys music, art, sewing, and cooking, but spends the majority of her time chasing Judah and homeschooling the other four children.
The McAdams family may often be found playing board games, watching a movie, or going out for ice cream. Spending time together on their annual family vacation is always a highlight. They are very blessed that God has led them to Dive and they’re enjoying integrating with the congregation inside and outside the walls of the church building.
Pastor Joe’s heart is to unify and inspire people at Dive toward discipleship. Our glorious mission as Christ-Followers is to make and grow other Christ-Followers. As we grow in our love for God. We will grow in our love for each other and be strengthened to take that same love to the lost.

Student Minister – Matt Courtney
Nicole and I have been serving at Dive since November of 2012, and we are incredibly thankful for the opportunity to invest in the students of the Bedford area. We believe God has called us to love Him wholeheartedly, love people intentionally, and share His message of grace, restoration, and hope with junior high and high school students and their families.
Nicole and I were married on July 10, 2010. Our crew includes Declan, Denver, Oaklyn, Hollyn, and Shiloh (our Goldendoodle). Life at our house is full, loud, and full of joy — and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
I graduated from Henderson County High School in 2003 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from Oakland City University in 2007.
When I’m not at church or with students, you’ll probably find me paddle boarding, hiking, collecting chickens, coaching soccer, riding our UTV, playing video games, or competing in fantasy football — where I proudly retired as an 8-time champion.
Our ministry motto is simple: Invite. Invest. Go Deep.

- We invest in relationships that matter.
- And we challenge them to go deep in their walk with Jesus — not just surface-level faith, but a life fully surrendered to Him.
A verse that continually shapes my heart for ministry is John 10:10 — that Jesus came so we may have life, and have it to the full. That abundant life is what we desire for every student and family we serve.

Dive KidsMin Director- Alyssa Thatcher
Alyssa Thatcher is honored to serve as one of the Children’s Ministry Directors at Dive Christian Church. Alyssa grew up at Dive CC, accepted Christ at a young age, and has faithfully served in many areas of the church over the years. Alongside her husband, Cody, she also helps lead The Bridge Sunday School small group.
Outside of church, Alyssa is a devoted wife and a homeschooling mom to three energetic kids. In her (very limited!) spare time, she enjoys playing pickleball and softball, loves to travel, and also works as a travel agent with Dear and Darling Travel. Alyssa has a deep heart for kids and families and is passionate about helping children grow to know and love Jesus.

Dive KidsMin Director- Julianna McAdams
Julianna, or as many call her, Anna, is excited to serve as the Director of Kids Ministry at Dive Christian Church. She has been at Dive for almost 10 years this coming Easter and has loved every year. She was baptized at a young age and has been a part of a church family ever since. She went through Dive’s youth group program and has been involved in Kids Ministry and worship for years.
During her time in the youth group, Julianna was part of summer mission trips, which helped grow her heart for serving others. Over the years, she has really grown to love teaching and is excited to be teaching the most important thing a person can learn. She loves to connect with young people and learn from them just as much as they learn from her. She sees this ministry as a way for the kids—and herself—to learn from God and His Word, and she’s pumped to lead DiveKids in getting deeper with Christ.
Julianna is currently a student at Indiana University Bloomington studying Visual Art Education. In her free time, she enjoys drinking lots of coffee, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors.

Administrative Assistant – Tammy Taylor
Hello! Tammy Taylor is a lifelong member of Dive Christian Church and a familiar, trusted presence within our church family. After faithfully serving more than a decade as our Kids Ministry Director, Tammy has stepped back into the role of Administrative Assistant for the second time—bringing with her a wealth of experience, ministry insight, and deep love for this church.
Tammy’s heart for people shines through everything she does. She helps keep the day-to-day ministry organized and thriving, supports staff and volunteers, and offers the warm, welcoming spirit our church has come to know and love. Her leadership, steadiness, and genuine care make her an essential part of the Dive team.
Beyond the office, Tammy loves spending time with her family and traveling whenever she can. One of her personal mottos captures her approach to life perfectly: “Take the trip, buy the ticket, make the best of every moment.” She lives with intentional joy, embracing each opportunity God gives her.
Dive Christian Church is blessed by Tammy’s faithfulness, her love for Jesus, and her lifelong commitment to this community.
