Dive's 2024 VISION!

Most people, given the opportunity to serve others or to be served by others, would choose the latter.  There is an implicit understanding that the servant is beneath the one being served.  The servant is inferior to and therefore less than the one being served.  Hence, it is better to be served than to serve.

But this is not what Jesus taught or how He lived..  Jesus said of Himself, The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give His life as a ransom for many.*  The Apostle Paul later encouraged the people of the church at Philippi to use your freedom to serve one another in love.**

The Christian faith is often counter-cultural and even counter-intuitive.  Jesus’ call to servanthood is a powerful example of how God’s way is not our way, and how God’s way is better.  Serving others is central to the Christian life.  Every follower of Christ is called to serve others in love.

Our theme for 2024 is SERVE.  Our goal is for every person at Dive to find a way to serve one another in love with the expectation that people will be helped, relationships will flourish, and most importantly God will be glorified.

Will you serve with us?

Join us on Sunday morning as we worship Jesus and build relationships with each other.  I hope to see you Sunday!

Hang tight while we look up scheduled events...

Jesus is the center.

Jesus is central to everything we do. We sing, pray, and preach in His powerful name. Our past, present, and future are centered on Jesus Christ. Our purpose on this earth is to make much of Jesus Christ.

“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”

Colossians 1:16-17
